Review of Malta’s 4-hour tour to Ħaġar Qim, Limestone Heritage, and Blue Grotto, with practical tips on timing, transport, and value.

“Maria our tour guide was amazing. She was full of information and you could tell she was passionate about the temples when she was talking about them. Slightly gutted that the boats weren’t running for the blue grotto. This was due to adverse weather though so not in their control. But it was still a good trip. I know I’ve said it once but I will say again, Maria was amazing!!”

Review of Malta’s 45-minute history show and La Sacra Infermeria tour, with practical advice on value, timing, language, and access.

“A very interesting and enjoyable walking tour that helped with orientation around Valetta and learning about the history of this remarkable city. I’d recommend you do this tour on your first day in the area if you can as it also gives you plenty of places to revisit at your leisure. For example, learning about The Knights of St John (Hospitaliers were an elite military force involved in The Crusades, similar to The Knights Templar) will help you to understand much more about the building of Valetta and impressive Cathedral of St John the Baptist. Your experience and knowledge of Valetta will be enhanced. if you go on this tour…”

★★★★★★★★★★4.5 · 72 reviews · 2 hours (approx.) · from $54

Review of Valletta’s 2-hour walking tour covering history, Caravaggio, Maltese food, local tips, guides, price, and practical details.

“Well….not my favorite tour ever but not the worst. Definitely not worth the cost. First tour operator had no times shown on Viator, second I was not given a time until I emailed the operator. Next they replied at 0200 the day of the tour. The location was not correct of where to meet the tour guide. And this is all before the tour. Tour guide spent most of the tour talking about current Malta politics and very little history. The parts of history given were not based on any evidence but Malta legend told to us as facts. There was no gastronomy, one tasting of a local liquor does…”

Explore Valletta’s ghosts, murders, mysteries, and dark legends on a two-hour English walking tour with a lively local guide.

“Mario our guide was very knowledgeable and the tour was very interesting. As frequent visitors to Malta we learnt some new information doing this tour. While I would recommend this tour you do need to be mobile and fit as Valletta is very hilly and you do walk right down to the bottom and back up. It was a great night.”

Malta food and history tour review covering Mdina, Rabat, Mosta, Valletta, local dishes, guides, transport, pricing, and practical booking advice.

“I had very high hopes based on the reviews for this private tour, but ended up very disappointed overall. First off, we were picked up in Valletta for an extra fee, which was fine, but our driver to Mdina knew nothing of our tour or who we were meeting or where. He dropped us off a Mdina and drove away, leaving us with no way to contact our guide. Fortunately, we found her a few minutes later. She was very, very nice and quite knowledgeable. As a native Maltese, the best part of the tour was talking to her about Malta culture, history, language, and life in Malta. She gets…”

“This was a great tour. Small and personal with only 6 participants in the group. Bridgette was a delight. We were lucky to be in Rabat on the eve of the festa, so we got to see the set up of the flags and lights and see the locals come together as one. The food was plentiful. Stop one: Pasitizzi & Kinnie ( best pasitizzi's in Malta) Stop two: Maltese coffee and fresh fruit Stop three: maltese platter Stop four: rabbit stew, bragoli, roast potatoes and veggies, Maltese bread, wine imqaret This tour is definitely worth a try if you want traditional food and history too.”

Review of Malta’s private full-day tour, covering Valletta, Mdina, ancient temples, Marsaxlokk, cliffs, and the Blue Grotto.

“Outstanding day. Guide Carmen and driver (forgive me I can’t remember your name) were fabulous and friendly. From a delay on my end, of about half an hour we still fitted in the full day. Carmen was educational and informative, we asked to see the highlights of Malta and they didn’t disappoint. Absolutely beautiful country and the people are extremely friendly. I would highly recommend this tour. Mark went above and beyond setting this tour up.”
