“Good trip but people need to heed the advice of the guide at the market. Please ensure you have no valuables on display or they are in front of you. 1 couple lost their money and cards. It is difficult to contact the police. If you have poor mobility not a trip for you as there is walking involved.”

Review of Malta’s 4-hour tour to Marsaxlokk, Blue Grotto, and Qrendi, with practical tips on timing, markets, boats, guides, and value.

“Our guide Chantelle was amazing. Very friendly, funny and gave so much information. Very helpful! The driver (didn't quite catch his name) was also lovely. Had a lovely trip. Stopped at the Blue Grotto which was really windy but great to see. We only stopped for 10 minutes here but I'd rather have spent more time here, despite the wind, than in Qrendi. We spent ages here on a walking tour around the tiny town. We then only had about 1hr 20mins in Marsaxlokk which was just enough to get some food after spending too much time in a very long queue for 3 ladies toilets, only 2 of which…”

3.Sunday Vintage Bus to Marsaxlokk

★★★★★★★★★★4.1 · 117 reviews · 1 day · from $9Best value

Ride a 70-year-old Maltese bus from Valletta to Marsaxlokk’s Sunday market, with fixed return times and a charming taste of local transport.

“The activity itself was really good and as described. The journey in the bus was a novelty. The market was busy and catered for all. Market clothes, toys, food, tourist gifts and produce. It was very busy so was hard to actually look at anything as you got caught in the flow. The waterfront was quaint and local bars were reasonable. We took alternative transport back as couldn’t have spent the allocated time there. So keep tabs on when the buses return.”

“This is a must do tour. Such beautiful sights of the caves and coastline. And the Market in Marsaxlokk is impressive. It's was 42 degrees very hot unusual heat wave but plenty places to grab ice creams and drinks to escape the heat. Thanks viator for lovely tour.”

Review of Malta’s Hagar Qim, Limestone Heritage, Blue Grotto, Marsaxlokk, and Ghar Dalam tour, with lunch, pickup, and practical tips.

“While the tour guide was excellent - well organized, informative, responsive - I was disappointed that we spent a very short time at Hagar Qim, didn’t get to see Mnajdra at all, and spent almost an hour at Limestone Heritage and the garden. I came to see the ancient ruins. We were rushed through viewing Hagar Qim in about 20 minutes, then later people were milling around the garden with nothing to do for 50 minutes waiting to leave. The times should have been reversed!”
