“This one gets 5 stars with reservations because the Blue Lagoon (BL) is so good - spend time in the pristine waters with the sandy bottom, swim over to the the opposite beach. Food, drinks are on sale and there's even a place for left luggage! The powerboat is fun, quick though bumpy and in no time you arrive in Gozo (you have 2 hours). We took a taxi to Victoria (5 euros pp, arrange for them to pick you up for the return journey to the harbour) leaving time to visit the Citadel (great views) and have some lunch. “There were practically no safety precautions during the trip—no life jackets, we were told it was unnecessary. The sea was unquiet, and the boat was bouncing around on the waves, and we only had one handrail to hold on to. I was thrown into the air a couple of times, and the seats were made of hard plastic; the landing back to the seat was rough. Although this was a quick and direct way to get to the Blue Lagoon, we took another boat on the way back. “Comino is very pretty but unfortunately on the way back I had an accident in the boat. As the boat was going so fast and through the waves, I was thrown in the air and then I fell with such a force I broke two bones in my back. If maybe there were cushions on the seats or belts this could be avoided. The company has been in contact with me since the accident so that is good and very responsible.”
